State of AI in Texas 2026
Artificial intelligence is already reshaping how Texas operates, from transportation and infrastructure to hiring and workforce development. This half-day summit at the Texas State Capitol brings together the people driving that change: workforce leaders, industry voices, and policymakers, for a direct conversation about where Texas AI stands today and the opportunities ahead.
Our keynote speaker is Anh Selissen, Chief Information Officer for the Texas Department of Transportation. She leads a technology portfolio of more than $500 million and has spent the last several years guiding how AI gets deployed responsibly across one of the state’s largest agencies, with real implications for public safety and infrastructure. Her perspective grounds the day in what AI adoption actually looks like at scale.
The afternoon is built around additional speakers and panels to be announced and added here. Expected topics include:
- Texas as a National AI Hub
- Balancing Innovation and Responsibility
- Economic development
- Industry ecosystem specifics and trends
- Social impacts
- Government/policy/regulation
- Technology Horizons (LLMs, Datacenters, Quantum, etc)
- Labor markets and workforce trends
- Looking Ahead
Additional speakers and topics will be announced as the agenda is finalized.
Following the summit, join us for a networking reception from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.
