Find answers to common questions about membership, events, sponsorship, and how the Austin AI Alliance works.

Any company, university, government agency, nonprofit, or individual with a presence in the greater Austin region is welcome to join. That includes the City of Austin and the 10 surrounding counties: Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee, Llano, Travis, and Williamson.

Individual Associate members get full access to events, working groups, and community resources, but do not vote, serve on the Board, or participate in funded projects. Organization memberships include governance rights and the ability to lead funded initiatives. Organizations also have the opportunity to sponsor events and Alliance programs, as well as be selected to speak at national AI conferences in Austin.

Organization members have the opportunity to speak at monthly innovation spotlights and conferences. If this is something you are interested in, let us know! We love to hear your successes and how they can benefit others. 

Although we know you would love us to record the meetings, the community and connection time of the meetings cannot be replicated online. 

Yes. Organizational memberships cover all employees and staff associated with that organization.

Tiers are based on total employee count: under 500 (Small), 500 to 50,000 (Medium), and 50,000 to 500,000 (Large). If you’re unsure, just reach out and we’ll help you figure it out.

Yes. Public sector government agencies, educational institutions, and nonprofits receive 50% off any organizational tier. Use code NONPROFIT at checkout. All organizations are subject to review.

Our monthly meetings are free of charge. Other events do usually have a fee associated. This allows us as a community to offer scholarship to those in need.

Members get free or discounted access to Alliance monthly meetings, workshops, and major events like State of AI Austin. Some events are also open to non-members.

Although we are a non-profit, your membership dues help ensure we have the best speakers, up to date programing, and are able to offer scholarships. As a community, everyone investing together allows our impact to reach further.
