Because seats on each Council and Board are limited to ensure focus and quality of discussion, admission isn’t guaranteed by inquiry alone. Our team reviews each inquiry to ensure the right mix of seniority, industry, and perspective at the table.
Our team moves quickly to review each inquiry, seniority, industry fit, and Council or Board availability are all part of that process. Most applicants hear back within 2-3 weeks.
Membership is a two-year term across all pillars, Industry Councils, Policy Boards, and Workforce Leadership.
Yes. Since each Council and Board maintains a limited number of seats, full groups may have a waitlist. Our team will let you know your status and reach out as soon as a seat becomes available.
Membership belongs to your organization, not the individual. If your seat holder leaves, your organization may designate a new senior leader to fill the seat for the remainder of the term.
Yes. Enterprise members can pay by invoice in addition to credit card. Contact our team to arrange invoicing for your organization’s membership.
Texas AI Alliance is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization. Membership dues are generally not deductible as a charitable contribution, but may be deductible as an ordinary business expense. Please consult your tax advisor for guidance specific to your organization.
Your Council or Policy Board seat is reserved for the senior leader(s) invited to participate, admission is tied to seniority and expertise, not headcount. However, your entire team receives complimentary Austin AI Alliance membership as part of your organization’s benefits, extending community, training, and networking access beyond the boardroom.
Yes. Membership is modular, you can join Industry Councils, Policy Boards, and Workforce Leadership independently or in combination, based on what’s most relevant to your organization.
- Industry Councils: best practices, trends, and threats and opportunities specific to your vertical, backed by research and expert briefings.
- Policy Boards: policy documents and briefings, with a focus on upcoming legislation shaping AI in Texas.
- Workforce Leadership: skills development, recruitment, retention, and training, bridging enterprise needs to the local talent pipeline.
Yes. The Texas AI Alliance offers an Academic & Research Partner tier for universities and research institutions, recognizing the distinct role they play in building the talent pipeline and advancing AI research across the state. Academic & Research Partners engage primarily through Workforce Leadership, connecting students and researchers to industry, while gaining access to Council and Board insights that inform curriculum, research priorities, and workforce readiness.

Access depends on your role. The senior leader holding your organization’s Council or Policy Board seat attends Council briefings, Board sessions, and other Texas AI Alliance member events tied directly to that seat, these are not transferable to other team members.
Through your organization’s complimentary Austin AI Alliance membership, your team can attend Austin AI Alliance events, including State of AI, Human Orchestration of Tools and Automation sessions, and other community programming. To keep access fair across all member organizations, Austin event attendance is limited to two tickets per event, per company.
Membership funds the work: research, legislative briefings, Council and Board operations, and the Workforce Leadership programs that connect enterprise needs to the talent pipeline. The fee also keeps the Alliance independent, funded by dues rather than by any single sponsor or interest, which is what allows us to stay a neutral convener rather than an advocate for one company’s agenda.
It also reflects the caliber of the room. Council and Board seats are limited and reserved for senior leaders, so membership functions less like a subscription and more like an investment in direct access and influence over decisions shaping AI in Texas.
Enterprise members have the opportunity to speak at Texas AI Alliance conferences and events. If this is something you’re interested in, let us know, we love hearing about your organization’s successes and sharing insights that can benefit other members.
Speaking opportunities range from Alliance-hosted sessions to national conferences that come through Texas, and include leading sessions within HOTA (Human Orchestration of Tools and Agents), the Austin AI training program.
